He was the only one heading in the opposite way that everyone was trying to get away from, carrying that sizeable pack and barefoot … He was sprinting at something that undoubtedly every part of you would tell you to go in the other direction. “Without a second thought, but just fully maximum effort running.” A Symbol of Heroism Amidst Tragedy The photo taken by Ching of the lifeguard, since identified as Jackson Doolan, was widely shared as one of many instances of heroism in the following of the terror attack.
