A two-month cruise circling Australia was terminated days after the tragic passing of an senior woman who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a remote coastal location.

The passenger had been hiking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the party for a pause. The liner departed without her and came back later that day after the crew became aware the lady was missing.

A large-scale hunt discovered her person the following day.

Authorities are looking into the event, alongside law enforcement and the official investigator.
